Ingredients

  • 1 lb Ground beef - Or turkey/chicken or vegetarian substitute
  • 1 Taco seasoning packet - Mixed with water as directed
  • cup Water - As per taco seasoning instructions
  • 1 lb Pizza dough - Homemade or store-bought
  • 1 cup Refried beans - Can mix with cream cheese & salsa for base
  • ½ cup Salsa or taco sauce - Adjust heat to taste
  • 1 cup Shredded cheddar
  • 1 cup Shredded Mexican blend - Or any cheese you like
  • ½ cup Mozzarella cheese - Optional, for stretch
  • 1 cup Shredded lettuce - For topping
  • ½ cup Diced tomatoes
  • cup Sour cream - Or Greek yogurt
  • ¼ cup Black olives - Sliced
  • Optional toppings - Jalapeños, avocado, cilantro, hot sauce

Instructions

  • Brown the ground beef, drain grease, add taco seasoning and water. Simmer until thick.

  • Preheat oven to 425°F. Roll out dough, brush with oil or garlic butter, and pre-bake.

  • Spread beans and salsa on crust. Add cooked meat and shredded cheese.
