For Burger Patties:

  • 1 lb Ground beef - 80/20 blend recommended
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon Onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 Egg

For Crack Sauce:

  • 0.5 cup Mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoon Ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon Yellow mustard
  • 1 tablespoon Sweet pickle relish
  • 0.5 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon Paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Hot sauce - Adjust to taste
  • 1 teaspoon Seasoned salt - Optional but amazing

For Toppings:

  • 4 Cheddar cheese slices - Sharp preferred
  • 4 Bacon strips - Cooked crispy
  • Lettuce leaves
  • Tomato slices
  • Red onion rings
  • Pickle slices

Instructions

  • In a small bowl, mix together mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, pickle relish, garlic powder, paprika, hot sauce, and seasoned salt (if using). Stir well and taste. Adjust to taste.
  • Gently combine ground beef with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, Worcestershire sauce, and egg in a mixing bowl. Form into 4 patties, slightly wider than your buns. Press a dimple into the center of each to prevent puffing.

  • Heat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Add patties and cook 3–4 minutes on the first side without pressing. Flip once, add cheese, and cook another 3–4 minutes until done to your preference.

  • Spread butter on cut sides of buns. Place butter-side-down on a hot surface until golden brown. Watch closely to avoid burning. Keep warm.

  • Start with the bottom bun, spread on crack sauce. Add lettuce, cheesy patty, bacon, tomato, onion, and pickles. Top with more crack sauce and the top bun.
